加拿大西安大略大学(University of Western Ontario) Dr. Yang Zhao 实验室招聘全奖博士生
PhD positions are currently available in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Dr. Zhao’s lab focuses on advanced materials for energy storage devices, including nanomaterials and nanostructure design and fabrication, surface and interface engineering, next-generation batteries, advanced characterization for materials and interfaces.
Dr. Yang Zhao is now an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. Dr. Zhao received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Northwestern Polytechnical University (Xi'an, China) in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree at the University of Western Ontario in 2018. Then, he had his postdoc training at the University of Western Ontario and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in 2019-2020. He has published over 120 journal articles including Chem. Soc. Rev., Joule, Matter, Adv. Mater., Energy Environ. Sci., Adv. Energy Mater., et al. His works have received citations of over 6800 times with a personal H-index of 42. His current research interests focus on advanced materials and interfaces for energy storage applications.

Qualifications of applicant:
Applicants with materials, chemistry/chemical, and physics backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Experience with advanced nanomaterials for batteries, thin-film deposition techniques.
TOEFL: 86 (no individual score below 20); or IELTS: 6.5 (individual bands of 6.0).
