    Postdoctoral fellow position available in the Buchwald Lab in the Department of Radiation Oncology, Emory University School of Medicine and Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Dr. Zachary Buchwald is seeking a highly motivated graduate interested in obtaining postdoctoral training in basic/translational research immunology. The postdoctoral fellow will be involved in project(s) involved in understanding how radiation enhances the anti-tumor CD8 T-cell immune response, how to modulate immune-toxicity from checkpoint blockade and radiation, and using radiation in non-malignant inflammatory disease. 


    Dr. Buchwald is a new PI and physician-scientist with a strong publication track record and many projects that are likely to yield high impact publications. Dr. Buchwald is strongly committed to the career development of trainees and is interested in recruiting a motivated postdoc excited to join a new laboratory.


    Candidates must have a PhD or MD/PhD degree. Competitive applicants will have experience in tumor immunology, and/or viral immunology and first author publications in well-regarded scientific journals. Previous experience, with mice, flow cytometry, immunology knowledge would be a plus.
