【基本信息】

Prof. Zheng Zhang's group at UCSB has a postdoc position and 1 PhD position in the area of "Bayesian Sampling for Machine Learning and Uncertainty Quantification". The positions are available immediately.

【具体要求】

Requirements:

The PhD applicants may major in applied math, physics, or engineering (e.g., ECE or Computer Science), and should have a strong math background (e.g., linear algebra, differential equation, statistics) and good programming skills (e.g., matlab, python or C++). The applicants should have strong self-motivation for scientific research, being passionate about exploring unknown research fields. Prior experience in numerical optimization, Bayesian inference, uncertainty quantification or statistical machine learning will be a plus, but not necessary.
