【职位介绍】

Yale School of Medicine, Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM), is looking to hire a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to drive innovative translational research forward in the Yale ILD Center of Excellence.

The post-doctoral associate will work under the supervision of Dr. Erica Herzog and Dr. Danielle Antin-Ozerkis on human oriented research projects aimed at developing molecular biomarkers and treatments for patients with pulmonary fibrosis and related disorders.  The post-doctoral associate should be able to work independently as well as in a team of translational lung biologists in the lab which include pulmonologists, postdocs, clinical fellows and students. The major experimental tools that will be used include FACS, single cell RNA sequencing, ELISA, PCR on samples from patients with several forms of pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease.  

【具体要求】

Job Qualification:

1. A recent graduate or about to graduate with an MD, or a PhD in the field of biology and immunology or similarly related fields.

2. Experience with translational work and biomarker studies is preferred but not necessary. Knowledge of major cellular and biochemical techniques such as FACS, single cell sequencing, ELISA and PCR is a plus.  

3. Candidate should be willing to write independent funding applications after first few years of their post-doctoral position with the goal for a career as independent investigator.

The individual will be expected to make a significant contribution to the educational and research missions of the section. There will be opportunities to work on projects autonomously while working collaboratively with faculty, staff, post docs, and students. Supervision of other research personnel and other related duties will be expected.  It is an excellent opportunity to learn about biomarker work in the context of clinical medicine and interventional trials.
