【招聘介绍】
The Computational Aerospace Laboratory, at the University of Southern California, seeks a postdoctoral research scholar interested in the CFD modeling, multi-fidelity simulation, and uncertainty quantification of the aerodynamics of Entry, Descent, and Landing (EDL) segments of space missions for planetary exploration. The successful applicant should demonstrate an ability to work independently with a small amount of supervision as well as collaboratively with other research colleagues in multidisciplinary projects involving partners at other universities and at government research agencies.
【具体要求】
Required qualifications:
A Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
Expertise in the numerical simulation of supersonic turbulent flows (wall-resolved/wall-modeled LES, RANS, and/or DNS).
Expertise in the analysis of large numerical datasets (knowledge of Uncertainty Quantification and/or Machine Learning methods will be valued).
Expertise in high-performance computing, software development (C++ and/or Python, MPI and/or GPUs), and the Linux operating system.
A proven track record of publications in leading journals
【福利待遇】
This is a full-time exempt/salary position, funded by a research contract/grant. Benefits include a competitive salary, healthcare (medical, dental and vision), tuition reimbursement, holidays, paid vacation and sick time, among others. The appointment will be on a year-to-year basis, renewable upon satisfactory review.
