A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in Dr. Kai Yang’s lab at the Wells Center of Indiana University School of Medicine. The research in the Yang lab focuses on understanding the mechanisms of T-cell signaling and metabolism in the regulation of immune tolerance and antitumor immunity. With the combination of various genetical mouse models, systems biology and metabolic/molecular approaches, the Yang lab aims to identify molecular and metabolic regulators crucial for sustaining T cell fate and function in the control of allergic airway inflammation and tumor immunity. Our previous studies have demonstrated that the crosstalk between mTOR signaling pathway and diverse metabolic programs governs the fate decision and function of T cells in the development of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases (Nat Immunol., 11: 1047, 2011; Nat Immunol., 12: 888, 2011; Immunity, 39: 1043, 2013; Nat Immunol., 16: 178, 2015; Immunity, 46: 488, 2017; Nature, 548: 602, 2017).
