美国肯塔基大学Dr. Sheng Tong实验室招博士生
Ph.D. Opening in nanomedicine, genome editing, and immunoengineering
The nanomedicine laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Kentucky is recruiting a Ph.D. student with full scholarship support in Spring 2022. Our research is dedicated to the development of cutting-edge technologies for disease treatment. A particular interest of the lab is to develop a nano-viral hybrid delivery system for CRISPR/Cas9-based in vivo genome editing and utilizes this system for cancer immune checkpoint blockade in collaboration with the researchers in Rice University and MD Anderson Cancer center (For more information, please visit http://nm.engr.uky.edu). The Ph.D. student is expected to work with the PI and postdoctoral researchers on this project.
The University of Kentucky is one of the few universities in the U.S. having a major academic medical center with six health sciences colleges including Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Sciences, and Public Health, and a full spectrum of other academic colleges, all within walking distance of each other. The school of pharmacy and the Markey cancer center at the University of Kentucky are highly ranked in the U.S. The Department of Biomedical Engineering is a new program in the college of engineering, but expanded rapidly in recent years. There are tremendous opportunities to work closely with the faculty and clinicians in the medical center. For candidates who desire to advance their career through true integration of engineering and medicine with clinical relevance, UK provides the right environment for them.
具体要求
Requirements: Minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), or 79 (internet-based). The minimum IELTS score is 6.5. GRE exams can be deferred after admission. An overall grade point average of 3.0 in undergraduate coursework is required. Background and research experience in cell/molecular biology, molecular cloning, immunology are highly preferred.
Deadline: Admission will be granted through special petition to the gradate school.
