Postdoc positions are available immediately in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Missouri (Mizzou) to develop nanopore sensors for various applications. The positions, which are supported by NIH and/or NSF funds, will be one year but may be renewed annually at the discretion of the University based on work performance, and fund availability. Salary will be commensurate to experience.Qualification and RequirementsApplicants should have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Bioengineering, or related areas by the time of appointment. In particular, the position requires a strong background in Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Electrophysiology, Biosensor, or Bioengineering. Furthermore, candidates should be capable of working independently or with others, assisting the mentorship of a small team of students.
