    美国阿拉巴马大学伯明翰分校Dr. Shi lab 招博士后

Faculty Member: Lewis Zhichang Shi, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Departments of Radiation Oncology and Microbiology, Program in Immunology, O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center, The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, AL 35233

    Job Description:

Postdoctoral Scholarships are available to study the underlying mechanisms for cancer immunotherapy, particularly immune checkpoint blockade (ICBs such as anti-CTLA-4 and anti- PD-1/-L1). We are also interested in identifying new targets for cancer interventions that can be combined with ICB and adoptive T cell therapy. Our recent work revealed tumor cell-intrinsic (Cell 167: 397 (2016)) and extrinsic (Nat Med 23: 551 (2017)) resistant mechanisms, as well as T cell-intrinsic pathways underlying ICBs (Nat Commun 7: 1 (2016); CIR 7: 1803 (2019)). Another line of research in the lab is to understand how T cell development, activation, and functional differentiation are transcriptionally and metabolically controlled (Mol Immunol (2019),PNAS (2013 and 2017), J Exp Med (2011), and Immunity (2011)). The experimental models include genetically-modified mice and disease models for cancer, autoimmunity, infections, and inflammation.

    Job Qualifications:

Highly motivated recent Ph.D. with strong molecular biology and/or immunology skillsare encouraged to apply.
