A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Jae-Hyun Cho (Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics) at Texas A&M University. This position is supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Research in our lab is focused on understanding interactions between pandemic influenza viruses and hostand the development of protein-protein interaction inhibitors.
To achieve our goals, we use integrative structural and chemical biology approaches. Our lab mainly uses (but not limited to) NMRspectroscopy and X-ray crystallography as our primary research tool. These biophysical analyses are corroborated by sophisticated engineering of target proteins using semi-synthetic chemical biology techniques. For more information, please visit our lab web-page (www.cho-lab.org). The applicant must have a Ph.D. degree and a solid background in protein X-ray crystallography or biomolecular NMR for structure determination and/or protein dynamics.
Interested applicants need to submit a cover letter detailing research experience, CV, and contact information of three references to Jae-Hyun Cho (jaehyuncho@tamu.edu). To complete the application, applicants should also apply via the link below and include or use the following link.
